are classic Tantric Buddhism symbols such as endless knot, parasol, lotus throne, and temple banner motifs are represented in this lot as well as more traditional Chinese symbols such as bats and butterflies. These came from Yuxi Xingmeng, the last ethnic Mongolian village in Yunnan. It should be noted that the Mongolian Empire conquered Yunnan in 1253CE. These are circa Qing Dynasty.
